Anyone got a musical score for a Tamzara - it is the rhythm I'm most interested in seeing.
Cheers

Hi Leon--Maybe you should post this in the Ouds Ouds Ouds section rather than here. It might get more of a response.
I wish I could help you.
Every tamzara has a 9/8 (2 2 2 3).
As for scores--there are so many different tamzaras out there. I've never seen a score, but would be interested in seeing one if somebody sends one
your way. If you take a look at the recorded tamzaras by John Bilezikjian, or Richard Hagopian, for example, they are actually comprised of segments
of different tamzaras, joined to make a really interesting piece.
Just the other day I posted a link to a very nice tamzara on the site :

Hi Jonothan
Thanks for that, I've reposted - I know the youtube clip you put up, I've posted on it before and really like it. I've various Tamzaras and I do
learn by ear anyway but I like to see timing written down also, the timing and 'groove' is just brilliant in these dances.
Cheers
