Has anybody had experience with Thomastik-Infield oud strings? I see they are expensive and come in different types. But are they better?

Furthermore, the tuning is a bit unusual!?
The tensions given by Thomastik are for me too high and too unequal. About the sound quality I would appreciate musicians comments here too.

It's surprising that Thomastik offers such a weak oud set. For other instruments they offer some of the best, if not the best, strings on the market,
well worth the high prices. Some of their classical guitar designs, like the KR116, could be doubled up and used on oud with a little planning. I have
tried some of the individual strings, with promising results and a unique timbre. But Matthias is right, their ready-made oud sets show they have put
very little effort into it. The tensions are high and uneven. I would stay away from these.

Thomastik KR116

I finally installed this afternoon the set I bought a few month ago.
More precisely, I have begun to install the strings. The problem I encounteedr is that the lower strings [C-F-A] are too short to be installed on my
oud. As my oud is a floating bridge model, the strings must be longer than with a fixed bridge.
So I finally restrung my oud with the (not so) old strings.
I will keep the KR116 for my daughter's guitar.
As Bodhi told me : nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Not everything is lost.

What a shame this didn't work out  .
If I had thought a little I could have guessed they would be too short!
Could have saved you some money and time... my apologies.
They are quiet short strings... even on a guitar!
p.s. I was really looking forward to hearing the Thomastik on a floating bridge... what a shame
