Hello Jamelooo
How are you brother, I hope you doing well.
I am not really sure if you want the meaning of these two words only.
Sit El habayeb = the most beloved . It's a title always sang on mother's day in Egypt. The song tells all about the great effort the mother
put in order to raise her children yet she never asks for anything in return. I personally love that song a lot.
Bortuqal = the fruit the orange.
I am not sure if it is a piece of music or a song composed by Abdel wahab.
Did that help in any way?
Regards,
Special wishes of Merry Christmas and Happy new year.
Emad

Thanks Emad. Very nice of you.
I love both these songs. I was actually interested in the translation of the lyrics themsleves. I'd love to learn both these songs. I attached
the lyrics for Sit Al Habayeb (I don't have them for Bortuqal).
Here's a link for Bortuqal audio: http://perth.mit.edu/saad/abdelwahab/songs/37_theoranges.ram It's an Abdel Wahab song.
It would be great if you could translate these. I know it's a big job.
How about singing Sit Al Habayeb for us with your oud?!

Translation
Sett le 7abayeb
Most precious among all my beloved,
My Mother, who is more cherished than my soul and blood,
And who is filled with tenderness and love,
May god bless you.
In the past, you stayed up and labored for us,
And carried me many long nights.
And even until now, you bear my worries instead of me,
So I sleep and you stay awake, thinking
And approach us with the early prayer-call of dawn,
And check upon us.
May God keep you for me Mother,
And may he keep your content upon me.
For my soul is from yours.
And I am still here only because of your prayers.
You feel my happiness, even before I do,
And you feel my pains, prior to myself.
May God keep you for me mother.
If I lived all my life,
Trying to pay back your great gifts to me,
How will I have enough years?
And how can I find a worthy gift?
For your are the light to my eyes,
My happiness,
My life and world,
If you would ever accept, I would give them to you,
My God keep you mother.

Let's hear it Emad! I need to practice it, otherwise I would post.
Anyone have a recording, other than from Shaheen's Abdel Wahab Album?

Full song
Hello Jameel,
I just came across "set El habayeb" sang by Faiza Ahmed. Have a listen to it.
The only thing is that I do not think Abdel Wahab wrote it on that scale. I could be wrong.
