I think we all like to look at pics of older ouds; no? This was made by the Syrian builder Haidar, and has been restored. Whoever did the work did a
good job as the oud is really solid. The rosette is not original but is nicely carved from rosewood and a light colored wood for the center. I suspect
that the neck might not be original. Although it fits the body perfectly, the abalone inlay doesn't look typical of a Syrian oud. The date on the
lable is 1989 in Arabic.
