Jabakji's Oud learning book and videos
Hi, all.
I was just browsing the forums at Zeryab.org and noticed that someone already posted all the videos (in realplayer format) as well as sheet music
material from Abdul-Rahman Jabakji's oud book Parts I & II.
The forum posts are in Arabic, but you should easily find the ".rm" files to download:
Part I: goes through oud basics, basic music theory, notation, rhythms, sight reading, major and minor scales...etc:
http://www.zeryab.org/zeryab/showthread.php?t=17004&page=2
Part II: Starts off with maqam rast, includes 41 lessons/videos that describe all popular maqams with sample pieces and muwashahats:

You will have to register (it's free) at the site above to download the files. All the links on the forum above are in arabic, which makes it hard for
non-Arabic speakers to determine which maqam each lesson is trying to teach. I propose that someone downloads all those .rm files and post them
somewhere on this site with english titles for each lesson's maqam.
Regards,
Ali

Thanks for posting those links Ali...I'm yet to register onto the Zeryab forums, but I'm sure it'll be pretty straight forward.
An excellent idea would be to have this material posted onto youtube. Probably makes the videos a little more accessible
