Jameel's first

I dread doing this, but here goes--
I am selling the first oud that Jameel made. This is a great instrument, but, like the Nahat that I just sold, I haven't played it in about a year, which means it's time for me to sell it.
Check out this link:

Also, if you want to see it being built step by step, check out this link:

With sound clips:

I'm going to post some current pictures of it shortly.
Price is $1000, US and Canada only. I'll pay for postage anywhere in the US, Canada will be another $50.
I've heard a couple of Jameel's other ouds. His craftsmanship absolutely blows me away. This is a more basic oud, and I think I would actually call this a Turkish oud, despite its appearance. The sound is a bit brighter than on his later ouds. It's still in really good shape. Some minor scuffs on the bowl, but nothing much.
Somewhere on this website, there is a video of Simon Shaheen playing this oud--I'll try to find it to put up a link.
I don't currently have strings on it, but I can round up a set somewhere and include it with the purchase.
I forgot how much I payed for the oud, but I think it was around $1400--you can find out by surfing through these message boards, if you like.

Also, I wasn't planning on offering any sort of soft or hard case with the oud, but. . .
I just found an extra hard case that I am going to pack it in. Don't get your hopes up--most of the latches are broken, and it is sort of scuffed up. But, it is an amazingly strong case and, heck, consider it a freebie. I've used it for travel a million times.
