I've played guitar for almost 50 years, everything from blues to country to avant garde jazz. I started playing microtonal guitars in 1989, with a 19 tone axe...I now play 19, 24, 31, 34, and 36 tone equal tempered guitars, a 22 tone Harmonic guitar, fretless electric and acoustic, and for the last 5 years I've been playing Oud (and a little fretless banjo). The study of tunings is a big part of my life, from Arabic to Chinese and the many European temperaments... |
