Hi zoukboy!!
I don´t know wich luthier maked radixfc guittern, but I can tell you one of the best luthiers of ancient and medieval instruments in Spain, his name is Jesus Reolid : http://ret007ei.eresmas.net/reolid/index.html
He is a very very good person and a very good luthier ( more than 20 years making musical instruments)

the luthier is Javier martinez teruel... it´s not mine, it´s from a project guided by other luthier: Evaristo Bretos. Last year a group of luthiers (incluiding Jesus reolid) made a reconstruction of the instruments sculpted on pamplona´s chathedral refectory. I was called to play the guittern and the citole, and the photo belongs to the press presentation.

Scary huh!
The lute is my reconstruction of an early 16th lute by Laux Maler - (see "Oud or Lute" by Dr Oud in the Oud Project forum).
The hair is genuine - first half of 20th C - but a different colour from when it started out!

Its true that our profile could be more complete from the moment that all these ouds we keep in our hands will give a sound (a pulse of our soul).
A short improvisation could be the best sample.That's why I attach the following short video. It was recorded in a tavern by a mobile phone. This could easily explains the bad quality of the sound.

Mike buddy, here I am with my Mashaal Khalifa oud and my new baby daughter Deema born August 5th, she loved the oud music since she was in her mums belly as she use to tell me (the baby moves when you play), now she is full of smile and moves.

Cool story that goes with the pic... Also called, "why my wife is the best"

Every time her family comes into town, we make the pilgrimage to Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens... Now I guess I should say that God in his wisdom did not grant me an appreciation for Gardens... Don't get me wrong, I think flowers are pretty, and I believe I'm able to appreciate ONE flower... or even a small bouquet... But 3 hours of walking around an looking at plants just ain't my cup of tea... even if they are all pretty... Truth be told, I'd rather watch paint dry.... And since 'family' was involved, staying home was not an option for me..."

When I got to the car on Sunday morning... my wife had set my Oud in the back seat... Talk about a nice surprize.... Her plan was for her and my mother-in-law to walk the gardens and then stop by and visit me occasionally while I played...

I`ve been on a practice+party weekend with my Blues-Band on Lake Constance, in a little chalet that belongs to our harp-player.

Unfortunately the photo was made while waiting for the first coffee after a long night.
