thanks Ed
Necati knows all the turkish repertoire? unbelievable how many have he played. Is this his own composition or a traditional samaai?

Edward Powell - 11-16-2009 at 02:04 PM

Necati is incredible... what a sound and style! I don't think he composes much - mostly plays the old compositions.

Unfortunately the other vids were rejected by youtube :(

yes he is unbelievably good! I have vids of great private taksims of him... but youtube rejected them :(

katakofka - 11-16-2009 at 02:37 PM

youtube rejects when the files is bigger than 1Gig..no other reason to be rejected...

Edward Powell - 11-17-2009 at 01:23 AM

i get files rejected all the time...
sometimes i think it is because my vid files are slightly corrupted (?) --- one of my cameras is very practical but very cheap and probably corrupts the files sometimes.

this is a pity...

---
usually how i can tell if a file is corrupted is, I try inserting it into WINDOWS MEDIA MAKER, and it will recognise that AVI file not as video but as an AUDIO file! ...it will still play on my PC but it will not upload to youtube.

if Windows Media Maker would accept it then I could transform it into mpeg and it would be fine....

this is a pity because i have a huge archive of very interesting oud clips i would like to eventually share.

Try discussing this problem in the (video conversion) forum of Videohelp.com. It might be a problem with an unusual file header and it might be possible to correct that, so ask the video experts.
