Hello Jonathan,
what are the prices for the ouds my friend?
Regards
SpyrosJonathan - 12-4-2009 at 06:51 PM
Here are the prices for the US (I will pay the postage for all of these)
Jameel's $750. I am going to refer you to this thread: http://www.mikeouds.com/messageboard/viewthread.php?tid=10024
because I just sold this oud, and the person that bought it thought it had a buzz, so I took it back. I just don't hear it. But, I want you to be
aware. I will also throw in a rather beat-up hardshell case for this oud.
Dincer Dalkilic: $1500. There are some minor scratches on the surface of the bowl, but, really, it is in excellent condition. I really really like
this oud. No case included.
Cengiz Sarikus: Very cool, sort of dark sound to it. Syrian style. Just not sure of a price yet. Give me a couple of days on this one. Less than
$1000, certainly. No case.spyros mesogeia - 12-5-2009 at 03:06 PM
thanks Jonathan:-)Jonathan - 12-5-2009 at 03:13 PM

Hi Jonathan,
I just want to say that I think it was very sporty and kind of you to take back Jameel's oud when the first buyer complained!
Best regards
and good luck with selling the last one.

Thanks, guys, but, I am not a professional seller. I'm just somebody that has collected a few too many ouds over the years. Actually, way too
many.
I'm not out to make money on the ouds--in fact, I've sold them at a huge loss. But, that's not the point. They need to be in a home that loves them.
I've been on these boards for a while, and while I know only some of you personally, I really believe we are all part of an extended family or sorts.
If we don't look after each other, and treat each other well, nobody else will (certainly nobody on ebay).
All the best (and thanks again for the kind words). FLIPAX - 12-9-2009 at 04:43 PM

Congratulations Oudistcamp!
I also believe that, in time, Jameel is going to be considerd one of the "biggest" oud Makers of our time!
And I would love to own one mde by him one day.
Play it wellJonathan - 12-11-2009 at 05:15 PM
Great, oudistcamp--I'm glad it got there safe and sound.Jonathan - 7-29-2010 at 05:00 PM
The Sarikus is back on the market. I simply have not played it at all since I originally posted this. It's a great oud.
Price, $775. No case, but I can include a very nice hard case at an additional cost. I will pay for postage anywhere in the USA.spirit - 8-11-2010 at 01:47 PM
Is the Sarikus still available? If so, pardon any ignorance here, but does your reference to "Syrian" mean it is Arabic style?
What are some of the materials? Wood, for pegs etc. Nut- wood, synthetic, bone?
If possible a soundfile, photo, youtube would be helpful- the link that is early in this thread results in youtube saying it has been removed.
