Sorry,
I don't speak French ... interesting, that the second one has a saddle. Nice, that makes adjustment of the string's action easy. I also expect the
sound to be similar to floating bridge ouds.
No need to say, it's very beautiful francis - 12-20-2009 at 01:50 AM
Merci Sebsayak.
Effectivement ses ouds ont l'air très soigneusement finis. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas davantage de photos et renseignements sur son site.
Tu as vu et essayé ces ouds?bibo10 - 12-20-2009 at 10:32 AM

Sorry for those who doesn't speak french.....
From time to time writing his native language is warm.....easier, with precision and contents words enough to be clear.....
I try a translation from the two messages above.
I wrote that these ouds seems to be very well finished and asked Sebsayak if he had the luck to play one.
He answered that he went to the workshop, and that it's a real pleasure to speak with
Olivier Planchon about ouds. ( workshop in southeast France ). Sebsayak didn't dare to try one but he'll go again to the workshop and asks from the
luthier to play.....
Happy now english speakers? ( I had to open twice my dictionnary to write these poor few lines!!!!!!I would have written two pages in french during
this time.)
From time to time writing his native language is warm...
Das kann ich gut nachvollziehen, nur schade, dass das viele nicht verstehen können.
Oops, you don't speak German? Well, I don't speak French
That's why we all talk in English here ... no offense intended.

Don't worry ... I often have to do the same, but who cares ... is there a better way to learn English, than talking about ouds? Sazi - 12-22-2009 at 02:04 PM

Purists could say that the oud is rather closed to arabic language and intonations......We don't write mostly arabic here and I'm not just a purist so
another language from time to time ( and without missing a translation ) could'nt be an important damage to my opinion.
I like when I find arabic, italian, spanish,....and others... words or short posts here. They tell first we are located everywhere in the world...no
need to erase this with "all english"...
Asking for a missing translation, no problem of course, about telling me which language I have to speak the first time (may be ) I use french
here................probably not the best inspired order in 2009.

I don't, because we see in this diskussion, that some people would like to participate, but can't because of language problems. That's why we should
try writing in English whenever possible.
But that doesn't mean, that I want to discriminate people, who don't speak English ... I know, that many french people don't speak English.
