This is Hazem Shaheen's new oud.

Indian Rosewood Bowl with thin Maple stripes, Western Red Cedar soundboard.

7 Course oud, with a string length of 57 cms, floating bridge.

Fantastic instrument, but I would have expected longer strings ... but who cares ... it sounds wonderful.

The question is still whether the first fixed bridge coming oud would sound as deep as Sunbati's or Wahab's or maybe even better ?
