Oud in Agadir

Hi oudies :wavey:

I`m planning to escape from ice&snow for a week to Agadir.
Does anybody know a good place to have a look and eventually buy another oud (if I can convince my wife, that it is VERY IMPORTANT to own one oud from every country :D )

I`d also be grateful for some tips about live-music-locations.

if you have a day free, you can reach casablanca (500 km) and visit khaled Belhaiba's workshop (http://www.belhaibaoud.com/) . His instruments are excellent ! The best way is to take train, look here:

thanx for the reply and the happy-holliday-wishes:D. I`d love to visit Belhaiba`s shop, but Casablanca is to far for just one day. I`ll do a short trip to Marakesh and stay there for 1 night. .Any suggestions about a shop or maker there?

it will be very difficult to find a decent oud store in aghadir or even marakesh, you can possibly try the old market u might find something there

Do everything you can, to make that possible ... he is the No.1 in Morocco as it seems.

For around 700€ you'll get an oud that blows your mind ;)

Talk to Sabbassi here in the forums, who is a friend of Master Belhaiba and can tell you much more.

When I visited Samir, he showed me the oud Khalid built for him ... absolutely stunning.
