Hi everybody,
I'm new here, so I'm gonna present myself briefly. I'm a classical guitarist and guitar teacher living in Brussels, but I lived most of my life in
France and I was born in Lebanon.
For a few years now, I want to learn the oud (I have one, bought in Syria), amazing instrument which is also a way to explore my native culture. Now
that I'm living and working in Brussels, I find the time and motivation to finally learn the instrument... but it seems hard to find a teacher, for
individual lessons (the 2 or 3 oud teachers I found give generally lessons in cultural center, and I'm working during their lessons).
Does any of you have some contacts or names of oud teachers in Brussels or around Brussels? That would help me a lot.
For the moment, I'll dig in this goldmine that is this website!
In advance, thank you very much!
Kamal.

Hi Kamal,
You can contact Anwar Abudragh.
He gives lessons in his own school in Brussels.
I think the lessons are every tuesday and thursday 17:30 - 21:00.
If you are working during these lessons, I am sure it is possible to have private lesson with Anwar at another moment.
Anwar comes from Iraq, he is an oud player and he also plays joze and is a very good Iraqi Maqam singer.
He is my teacher in Centre Culturel Arabe in Liège.
His email : anwardragh(at)hotmail.com
http://www.maqamat.be
Good luck.
And welcome to the forum.
