Hi there,
i´m new in this forum. i´m from munich in germany and i´m building turkish oud in the manol style for professionels or students. i`m an absolut
self- taught luthier and i´m started building ouds for a turkish friend years ago who wants a better oud.
the oud below is made of ziricote with cherry spacers. the top is alpin spruce, the fingerboard is ebony and the pegs are rosewood
best regards

Welcome, and what a stunning first post!!!
As Leon says, beautiful shape, slightly different to the usual shapes, yours is more aesthetically proportioned, rather like the medieval lute.
Bravo!!

Hi,
thank you, the shape is the result of an long process of drawing and building moulds, til i feel confident.
the comparison with the medieval lute is like i want it, and it sounds now really good. i changed many bracing systems to get this sound. really
turkish like an traditional oud. Ziricote is a little bit more brilliant as walnut.
actually the rosette from horn is missing. i´ll put it in. in the pic below you can see the style of rosette by an oud made of walnut / yew, same
shape, that i made for richard keller. you can hear him play with the ziricote oud at:
