How do I find an Oud player in my area. I am a beginner and need some instruction plus I need a good player for a recording project.
I tried the musicians Union but a guy called 'Craig' offered to make me a list...seriously. I haven't heard a thing since.
Anyway I have a little work for one, is there anyway of finding out where there is a good player, without telling the world where I live???
Cheers

You could give us your state, maybe even region. I doubt anyone could trace you from that. Q:"Hello, I am a representative of the most recently
collapsed Nigerian regime. I'm looking for Mr. Oudstring13 in order to slit his throat I mean give him his money. Could you tell me where to find
him?"

I don't think you're going to find a decent oud player through the union.
You should just say where you are, I'm sure someone can recommend someone.

Nobody can help you if you don't say where you are. At least let us know the nearest big city to give people an idea.
