Dear Friends,
I would like to thank all the people who wrote to me regarding nahats oud,
Over the years I have collected ouds which were made by this great family, and I have kept 11 ouds made by nahats...
This message is to let people know that I no longer have any nahat ouds for sale, what I have I am going to keep it....
However I am very happy to help any one of you regarding buying an authentic oud , original....
nothing much left of these ouds, sadly in Syria and the rest of the Arab world, however we can still find original nahats in Turkey.....
I beleive that it's a bit late looking for these instruments especially Abdo.....
I wish you all the best and good luck for your hunts.

Oh it remind me of this seller I visit in Damascus some years ago. Had a wall full of old ouds, proposed me an original Nahat I didn't bought, as it
was in need of some minor repairs.
One year after, knowing better the oud, I changed my mind, went back to the shop...nothing left, out of a very few number of a bad quality!
So, as you say, good luck for the hunters!

Hi Adel
I see on your myspace you will hopefully be playing near me at the Havant Arts Centre in June - I'll be there for sure.
Mabrouk Adel !
The question, though, is : what's the benefit, on the oud level in general & Nahat's in particular, to keep 11 living breathing Nahat ouds in one
place, usually in a closet, even though I know you play them all very often !?
Had I been on the oud-authority board, I'd "nationalize" the possession of at least 9 of the above, and let masters play them in public on daily
basis.
Don't worry Adel, I shall preserve the proprietary rights solely for Adel Salameh & his successors, after a pretty long happy life, since
you've paid a fortune purchasing them through the years !
Being far-off not to dream of playing them, pls. let us at least see them. Bring up their HQ photos & closeups & don't be this stingy "ya
bakheel" !
Yours indeed

Thank you Jamil , I am willing to share what I know about nahat ouds with other people, that means if someone finds a nahat oud and would like to have
a second opinion then I am very happy to give some advise, however I am not going to be looking for ouds for anyone and anybody is buying a nahat oud
, he or she is buying this instrument at their own risk....
The reason i am saying this is.... it's over, people are selling fake nahats and making cheap copies of these instruments and they are sold as a
genuine nahat oud.....
I am also saying that anybody who has a nahat oud ...simply keep it to yourself....don't sell.
as a result I am not buying anymore nahat nor willing to sell any of mine.
good luck and all the best wishes,
Adel
