hi
I am a double bass player interested in turkish music
I would like to learn to play the turkish oud.
i can't spend more then 400euros.
do you think i can find a decent one at that price?
i have seen some of your topic about that and you suggest a sukar oud.But it seems they only have arab oud.
How should be a good turkish oud?
maybe it's better i change idea and i learn the saz which is much more cheaper?
Thanks

ali nisadir at udmaker.com makes a great basic turkish oud for around $ 800.00 US,,,beautifully crafted and very sweet sounding..

depends on the maker , wood won't make big change or difference .
