Interesting article about Nino Bitton, Israeli musician of Moroccan ancestry. Details about Arab traditional music during the time of Israel's
founding.

"Nino Bitton has become one of the world's leading oud players" .......... says the subtitle !
OMG ! How come I've never ever heard this name before, despite the fact that I live nearby & have tried to hear every single oud tone around,
during the last 4 decades.
Regardless of what the headline says, the written & the man, worth reading.
Any recordings whatsoever ?
Thanks indeed

Sadly, Alfaraby, too many news articles about traditional M.E./N.A. music are written by people who know little or nothing about the music.
