Yo,
You could check out a shop called "Music Corner" which is around omonia square which i was recommended by another forum user. I bought a baglama there last summer . A nice little skaftos instrument with good materials for a reasonable price. They had several tzouras too which I
think should be in your budget. Worth a look.
The address is "AIOLOU 105 (XAYTIA) OMONOIA". Check the map link, im pretty sure thats where it is but its not that far walking to check around that
general area. It has a small shop front so keep look for its fluorescent sign.
Try to avoid the music shops in Monastiraki, or at least be cautious. I mostly found they were more expensive than other ones and the quality not
always so great.
Also have a look at this website. Its got a list of many luthiers in the athens area. Maybe worth calling some if you have the time. http://greekluthiers.wordpress.com/catalogs/greekluthiers-attica-2/
