Hello friends- not sure if this has been posted before, but here is an outstanding collaboration by two leading players of the oud and the Hindustani
slide guitar. For those not familiar with the Hindustani slide guitar (Mohan Veena), the western guitar has been adapted to play classical Indian
music, and sympathetic strings added like a sitar. It is played with a bar, in a similiar fashion to bottleneck blues players, and the guitar is
played across the lap, like a dobro. Truly amazing. For Simon Shaheen and the oud, well we need say no more! ENJOY

Bonsoir Matthew,
The same warm and inspired playing by V. M. Bhatt.....I bought "the meeting by the river"cd, with Ry Cooder, a long long time ago, and I listen these
fine tunes regulary through the years.
The duet with S. Shaheen is the occasion to hear this veena again, in another meeting.
Any cd to tell about?
Francis

ca va bien Francis? aucun CD en particulier, however there are too many to think about, n'est pas? I appreciate the fusion of oud and Indian musics.
Nous avons besoin d'acheter un mohan veena bientôt !
