Does anyone have any tricks for copying and pasting Arabic on a PC? I am working on muwashshahat right now, and I'm collecting lyrics but when I paste
copied Arabic from websites the pasted text is backwards and otherwise out of order. Any tips? Thanks!

I don't know, it seems to work on my Mac. I think there is in the fonts there is some code that controls the text direction.

Try this (a "google search" solution) :
Click on the start button and go to Settings - Control Panel
Open the Regional and Language Options applet
On the Languages Tab check the "Install the file for complex script and right to left languages" checkbox to select it
Click OK
Insert the Microsoft Windows XP CD when prompted and allow installation to complete
Restart the computer when prompted to do so

This doesn't really answer your question, but it can be useful.
An easy way to write in arabic without installing anything.
Just click on the virtual keyboard.
Then copy and paste the text.
If once want to write a thesis it's a little bit 'light', but for a few words, it's ok.

Another way is to just get a mac.
Couldn't resist.

I've used the lexilogos keyboard a lot to type out my own stuff, but never tried the cutting and pasting it works great. Thanks for all the
suggestions. @Alim...believe me, I'd like to!

Actually I spoke too soon...lexilogos does not work for this.
