Recently I have been looking into Afghan and Central Asian maqam music.
Tajikistan / Uzbekistan has become my focus at the moment.
I am curious to find out if there are many oud players there.
I have one album by Jurabeg Nabiev and ensemble that features the oud.

There is also another one I have that has qanun and a side-blown nay.
The music is very Persian, but the style of the nay and qanun are very Arabic sounding.
