Greetings and welcome, eitanyn! If you think the oud will have any importance in your life, do not waste your money on such an instrument. It is not
impossible to be lucky and get a decent oud in this type, and even cheaper on occasion, but the odds are strongly against it. Study the many
discussions of first ouds on this forum. You will likely have to spend more money or do work on the instrument - or have work done, which gets
expensive. If you live in the US returning an oud to some countries is especially costly. Because high action is the curse of bad ouds, and because
there is no simple way to correct it, be especially attentive in this department.
