The Oud in a german renaissance-movie

Hi Oudies

a few weeks ago I played the lute-player in a tale-movie about/around wine.
The producer was a bit surprised that it is a arabic lute, but he liked it anyway.

I`ll perform live at the premiere in june, solo or with a small orchester at the university in stuttgart.
So a few hundred germans will have their first meeting with the sound of the "queen of instruments".

loved the "medieval" groove in do....it was not possible from refraining to play some microtones though, was it? eh eh!!! great stuff!!!!

Microtones would`ve be no problem, but the melodie was createt just 10 minutes before the recordings started.

At the live show I`m gonna play something more "arabic" if I play solo.
I usualy make(or have) no plan if its just some minutes of playing.....noodling a bit before the mics are on and than....improvise.
