Hi guys, here is a new member here. I started playing Oud with my grandpa when I was 6 years old. I feel like I was Playing it well. He died when I
was 10 and my family sold all of his ouds. I bought one when I was 19, but on my way to US it was broken from the middle. I started my own project
with it and I didn't complete it and it had many wrong measurements. On may 26,2011 I started my second project in building one and I was doing well,
it was not that perfect but it was okay. When I was working on the neck on the day of November 19,2011 my drunk roommate was really having an argument
with my workstation and broke my WIP Oud. I got busy with school and life, but still I am looking to buy new one or build one soon.
Just felt like this is the place to tell my story

Hiya Missingwhispers,
thanks for relating your tale to us. It's a moving story because of the link with your grandfather. Also it shows that perseverance pays off. No
matter what happened to your previous ouds, your passion has never abandoned you and you have always gone back to it.
I am convinced that, just like the cats do, we don't choose the oud we happen to play, but the oud chooses us. We just don't realise it.
Let us know how it goes, and thanks again.
