I am a beginning female player and the tradional bowl-shaped body of the instrument is hurting on my shoulder and back. I have tried a flatback
electric/acoustic oud and found it to be very comfortable. Does anyone have a nice one to sell? I have been learning on an 11 string Turkish oud.
Thank you.

Hi Carol,
welcome to the forum. There are a few specimen of flat-back ouds on e-bay, all at a quite affordable price.
For example, this one, which belongs to the cheap end of the market: build with cheap materials, probabily it doesn't sound that good, but it has a
flat back

This one, however, seems quite good. Turkish, 11 strings, it hasn't got a flat back, but it's build specifically for a woman's size, so presumibly
it's smaller and more easy to handle:

And this one is an electric oud which works also as an acoustic one, flat-back, it seems very nice:

I hope this helps, take care
