Very good. He played chords often. He sure knows how to bring out the potential of the Bashir Oud. I wish the piano wasn't so loud at times.
Fusion of Middle-Eastern and Jazz. Just when one thinks it is becomming abstract it tunrs into harmony and traditional Middle-Eastern in a tightly
woven and complex musical fabric.

I really love his sound on the Bashir oud. I am almost certain he uses arabic tuning on his oud, which kind of unusual.
BTW, I highly recomend his latest cd Caress.

He may be using a different tuning since he did play a bunch of different chords throughout the performance. I would be interested in finding out for
certain?
