Chameleons of The White Shadow brings the best musicians in there field to take part in an eclectic recording which explores new musical territory
through cross-cultural, and cross-genre collaboration and improvisation.
"They are a grand tree, their thoughts
rooted deep in the ground, stable and
strong while their many branches submit
to growth, oblivious to direction, but
reaching for the stars."

That's got to be something else - apart from JT, Bela Fleck is one of my favourite musicians. I'll be ordering this.
Good luck

I had a chance to hear some rough mixes just after the studio sessions, and was blown away.
I think it's safe to say this will be an incredible album from Joe, James and friends.paulO - 1-4-2013 at 04:22 PM
The youtube vid sounds great - JT, you can't loose with these collaborators - and I like the riq as a drumset concept too ! Looking forward to the
album. Happy new year and all the best to you and your family.

IMHO This combo is better than one with "What-a-guy Abercromby". What to say but to.
Can we call this JT's oud music genre oo(ud)-bop. Edward Powell - 1-9-2013 at 04:18 PM
Fantastic JT!
It is great to see you keeping the flame alive. . . "oud jazz" ...I guess Rabi and Anouar started this off. . . and you are taking it to
another level!
Don't stop man.... keep 'em coming!JT83 - 1-19-2013 at 06:01 AM
Heres a free track from the new Joseph Tawadros album "Chameleons of The White Shadow".
This Track "Freo" features Joseph Tawadros of Oud, Bela Fleck on Banjo, Richard Bona on Electric Bass, Roy Ayers on Vibraphone and James Tawadros on
Req.
Joseph gives the oud acclaim for Western ears and it is not nothing! Clichés die hard, and I appreciate to listen to the oud on jazz radio station.Greg - 2-10-2013 at 03:46 AM
Thanks Joe, a very interesting selection of tracks from the new album. Whilst we have heard some of these pieces previously, this instrumentation
brings a whole new (and delightful) feel. And your playing and that of James has never been better.
Dare I say that you guys are at the height of your powers on this album. Wonderful!
It is difficult to find words to describe the playing of your chosen side-men. All were spectacular. It is also hard to understand how jazz banjo and
the B3 could fit so well with oud, req and bendir, but they do. A great album, thanks Joe and James.
