Hi everyone,
I am a new member here. I have already explored this forum before post this topic and I found a lot of expert ouds makers ... as shown in the subject
I have a neck problems .. actually its poorly made by Egyptian ouds maker "Safwat bader" .. but it designed as an Iraqi's dimension and I really like
it, So I love to repair my oud because I couldn't afford to and I am totally free.
here in the attachment the oud's photos - I'll be so thankful if I could repair it myself -
with my best greeting
Ahmed

Put some wood glue on the pegbox, and hold it in place untill its sets And get as much glue in the crack as possible. Spread the crack so you can get
glue all the way down.
Wait 24 hours to string.
That's how you do it.
Good luck my friend.

Hhhhhhhhhhhh Mr. Samir .. at the begining thank you so much I just installed the strings and every thing is done, perfectly.
1st I opened the neck crack using screwdriver and filled the crack with wood glue and tied it with long nylon thread for 24 hours
2nd I took off the thread and cleaned the glue and installed the pegbox carefully and locked with Pliers strongly and filled the neck crack with glue
again for another 24 hours
Finally, I cleaned the overload glue and installed the strings and tuned it and at last I played om kulthum song
Thanks again Mr. Samir I am now excited to fix the strings height and I'll do it soon
