need your help please??

hi i live in sydney and i have been accepted in a wood art college to do my chosen project and of course my dream is to build oud .
i wanna build professional oud looks like a guitar and i attached a pictures to see,my question:
1.would i get nice sound as a normal oud specially i am going to use the expensive wood as i am lucky here in australia to have best tone wood.
2.can anyone help me with a structure plan,or any advice can help the teachers here .
3.and to get the tarabi sound what i have to do for the soundbored
4.and from ur connection do u know anybody in sydney who is member in this forum to contact him to get help
