I have seen him in youtube many times in the past, but never imagined he's a native of ours ! Amir John Haddad is a Palestinian multi instrumentalist,
originally from NAZARETH. Born in Germany in 1975 to a Nazarene father - who had migrated to Europe in the early 1960's - then moved to Spain, where
he became an accomplished Flamenco guitarist.
His father Rymond Haddad, our neighbour, is a musician himself, who has been playing the oud since his childhood in Nazareth. I had a rare opportunity
to meat this talented father in his annual visit to his hometown to attend the wedding of his niece, when the chat easily switched to ouds, to tell me
about his son Amir John. I was stunned, since I have never thought Amir John to be our neighbours' son ! I felt very proud !
Here's Amir playing the oud in a duo Oud & Guitar:

A beautiful duo guitar / oud indeed!
Question to Alfaraby: Do you know what kind of oud Amir John is playing on this youtube-video? In the text it says only "an old oud of his father"...
It looks and sounds great.

The rosette says it's made by Hijazi. The father told me he bought it from the luthier M. Hijazi in Alexandria, Egypt back in the eighties.
With due respect to the player, his father and the luthier, it's only some commercial oud. Nothing much; but the player made it utters.
