Just transcribed another one, Ali Ufuqi p. 91
[file]27706[/file]
This is a very simple but attractive piece.
Been on a transcribing/notation frenzy, LOL.
Just wondering.
Would it be possible to have a sheet music section at all?
Then all the sheets could be in one location.
Just an idea, as I don't want to clog up the Ouds, Ouds, Ouds section with to many sheets.

Hey Jono, no problem!
Anyway I can post it here, sure it will be good for others.
I´m trying to find the music sheet of this Cantemir piece played by Bezmara, do you have it? or do you know where I can get it?

Also I tried to download Ali Ufki´s book, there link you posted here in the forum, I download it but when I try to open it, the program says that the
file is broken... is there anyway you can uploaded again, or send it to me by mail?
Thanks1

Hey.
I really like the Siphir piece too.
I will transpose it and upload soon.
I checked the Ali Ufki link, seems to be OK:
https://app.box.com/s/zvp0id4gwz8tzfh3ct3k
It just needs to be unzipped with Winrar.

The Siphir piece is from the Cantemir Notations.
Please let me know if you have any more problems with the Ali Ufki book.

Hey Jono
Finally I could download the book, I update the winrar, and it worked so I think I had a problem with the program.
So nice that you will transpose the siphir piece! I was checking the book, but it is so expensive, I can´t afford it now
thanks a lot man!

Hey
I am glad you were able to download the book.
The Ali Ufki and Demetrie Cantemir notations are so important but so hard (and expensive) to find!
Getting the hang of the Ali Ufki notations, some in 8/8 and 6/8 have no bar lines but just section divisions.
I transcribed a piece in 6/8 (the Jahargah Samai) and a piece in Segah in 8/8.
I actually thought they were in 24/8 and 32/4 before I realised LOL.
Live and learn (still working on the Ottoman script).
The pieces in the longer usul do have the bar lines in though, 88/8, 14/8 etc.
Here is the original of the Jahargah piece (p. 191, not 91, oops), and the Ali Ufki Segah original and the transcription and the Cantemir version.

I will work on the Siphir piece tomorrow and upload.
