Hello dear oud lovers,

I am oud maker Özgür Türen from Istanbul, Turkey. I've been making ouds for the last eight years. In this topic I'd like to share some of my work, woods, process pictures and answer any questions you may have.

This first oud is rose wood - flame maple with spruce top.

Hello, thanks for your questions.

All my ouds are proffesional class, I don't have any student instruments. I'm working alone and making everything by myself. I don't make no more than 15 ouds per year.

My ouds start from 1200 USD. Depending on the choice of bowl wood it can go up as much as 2000 USD. Also custom pickguards, inlays and shipping are added as extra.

I will be adding some sound and video samples of my ouds in coming days.

My ouds are under my warranty for all labor problems. They are not warrantied for usage mistakes.

I ship my ouds only with hard case and they cost 200 USD extra.

I don't make Arabic Ouds but if ordered my ouds can be tuned to Arabic tuning.

You have explained before about the general oud cost on 9-9-2013, no need to repeat that.

I have asked you to give the prices of the listed ouds above, for each one! Or if they were sold how much they were sold for, each one?

Their prices were:

Rosewood-Flame Maple-Long fingerboard $1850
Rosewood-Apple-Turtleshell pickguard $1900
Rosewood-Rosewood-Cedar Top-Long Fingerboard $2000
Juniper-Walnut $1400
Maple-Maple- Turtleshell pickguard $1600
Teak-Maple-Custom Bowl Cap $1750

Hardcases and shipping are extra.

This one is Mahogany bowl with Spruce top. Also the bowl has a shallower design, it has less depth than my standard bowl size.

This one has a Stained Flame Maple-Rosewood bowl, Spruce top, long fingerboard, Turtleshell pickguard, traditional Turkish writing style inlay on the pickguard, Rosewood rosettes, Turtleshell inlay on fingerboard and cap.

This oud cost 1750 USD and all the inlays 2000 USD for a total price of 3750 USD to its owner.
