This is a beautiful and VERY rare Persian Mulberry Wood Oud. This can be played both as a Persian Barbat for solo / ensemble work, or as an Arabic Oud
for all applications.
The sound is very beautiful, resonant and both intimate as an old classic Iraqi Fadhel floating bridge, and with a sharper attack produces a
contemporary sound without loosing it's
warmer sonority and tone.
By using both Mulberry and traditional woods this Oud achieves a unique sound not found in other standard instruments.
In impeccable condition , you can hardly find signs of it being played. Always played inside with a silk cover to avoid scratching.
Comes with a custom made and fitted hard case in a large triangular shape for the bowl area.
I am forced to consider selling this beautiful instrument and will sacrifice it for $1500.00 + packing / shipping costs
