Hi,
I found that player very interesting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgNWLwyNcO4
I am wondering what tune is he playing ?
I have the impression that he is playing a medley of "standard" tunes ...
Does anyone recognize those tunes ???
Thanks.

I am really liking the look of that Oud.
Very beautiful instrument. and the description says it's made in Brazil? Very interestingJohn Erlich - 5-12-2014 at 05:20 PM
Up to about 1:20:
-Taqsim Rast
-Dulab Rast [A dulab is a set melodic instrumental introduction that can be played before any song in the maqam for which the dulab was written.]
-Çiftetelli Rast (Turkish rhythm ostinato)
-"Ya Shadi El Adhan" ("muwwashah" song written by Egyptian Sayed Darwish)
I don't know the name of the next song...
Peace out,

I think there are 2 more songs starting about 1:50 or so, but I don't know the name of either, those the melodies sound somewhat familiar. I didn't
hear the last song as "Ya Tira Tiri," but you never know, what with al the lazimah...

(It's made of Brazilian Rosewood, not made in Brazil.)
Yeah, I think the bottom would be bigger if it was made in Brazil.

Thank you both for the scores.John Erlich - 5-19-2014 at 09:30 AM
Thanks for sharing the "Asal 'Alaya" music sheet, Abou Sammy! I noticed that the transcriber is Nicola Marjieh, who did about 1/3 of the arrangements
available on the Ah Ya Salam website. Just out of curiousity, where did you find this score? I've searching for one for a long time.
Peace out,

Hi Guys, sorry I was away for a while, the video is a light roostertail of songs and melodies, Atlas dance is the last part, it is
from a moroccan composer..yachadi alhan etc...
