The bridge is strange, it seems that it has been reshaped ?

This seller won't answer any questions. Not a good sign, IMO. The oud looks like it needs a lot of work. After purchase price +$2000 in fixes it
may be a good instrument. Many Nahats are outstanding, but some are duds . . . but I'm sure someone will take the chance, possibly a luthier with the
capacity to restore it.Greg - 6-17-2014 at 07:27 PM

I agree Mavrothis. Not the sort of workmanship one would expect. I'm also at a loss to understand how the ivory on the fingerboard could have worn
away to that extent. Our 1912 Nahat has heavily grooved ivory from 100 years of playing, but no sign of the wood grinning through from beneath.Dr. Oud - 6-18-2014 at 05:50 AM
in the '40 the fingerboards were plastic, not ivory. Your 1912 was probably never ivory but rather bone. The GN fingerboard was most likely sanded
down through the plastic.
