Hello folks, I've been busy here at Lord of the Strings in Beacon, NY these days. Sorry I haven't been too active, of course, I check and see what's
going on in here from time to time.
Here's what I've been up to besides repairing instruments.
I am making another Majestic model, and two Arabic qanuns.. one from maple, and the other from walnut.

Hi John
Very nice project ! I thought a lot of times about making a qanun.... What are you doing against the tension making the instrument like a bow after
some years ? I thought about making the "box" with a special technique creating the long wood parts for the sides with an integrated tension against
the string-tension...made of three single stoves... the middle of them forced against the tension wich the whole glued sides are forced to in the
completed instrument. A lot of nice ideas... but allways too much to do... other projects... Ouds and so on...
I hope this project increases .. and let us see the results, please !
