Hi oud friends,
I am in search from more pictures and information on the oud maker Abdel Aziz al-Lissi.
I have just been given a repair commission from an older Egyptian lady who's father had this oud made by al-lissi, it has many construction
similarities to the 1927 one I own. The original label is unfortunately covered by another label but you can tell from some parts of the original
label sticking out. Impossible to tell the exact year though.
I have in my looked around and I discovered that apparently
Michael Moussa made a replica of Qassabji's oud.
Anybody have pictures of the original oud?
here are the pictures of the oud I am repairing now.

M Moussa made at least 2 copies of this 7 course oud. I had the one in the photo on his website. It sounded good and played well but it was too large
for my body and it caused severe shoulder problems and pain that lasted more than a year. I sold the oud to a larger person who does not play oud
every day as I do. Sorry I have no photos of the original oud from which it was copied. you might ask Dr Moussa. He is very friendly.
