Sensible shape, but you like working with wood whereas I prefer using recycled materials. I'd make it out of layers of corrugated cardboard - if I
didn't have cats, that is. As it is, it would just be inviting the furries to use my oud as a scratching post. It stays in its case when I'm not
using it.alaaraj - 2-19-2016 at 12:59 AM
I love it because it is meticulously handcrafted, like Oud itself .. But is the Oud stable on it,? Would it stop the Oud swinging sideways? Eyad - 2-22-2016 at 10:19 PM

The oud is stable on it, dose not swing at all.
Till now everything is OK.fernandraynaud - 2-23-2016 at 02:49 AM
Wow, using French Polish on Veneer on pine plywood! I love it!
I have always had trouble with French Polishing, I'm always hoping to some day get good at it,
but meanwhile I brush the shellac on and then scotch-brite it to get a semi-matte finish.
Now I have a bigger job, a black Sukar that has the usual finish problems and want to use
a very dark shellac that comes waxy.
