Hey everybody,
This is a track from Al Billings' up and coming CD. For those of you who don't know him, here's some background info...
He's a professional musician and has been playing guitar for 37 years or so. His background is in Rock, Pop, and/or Country. He's been a support
player on numerous major label releases, and has done lots of recording, producing and arranging. He doesn't just play guitar and oud, but also
clawhammer banjo, bass, reeds, and some keyboard. His biggest influence on acoustic guitar was John Fahey, who was from back in the day who he first
heard in 1964. He's been studying oud for several years with a professor from the University of Texas in Austin named Abraham Marcus. Al was one of
the many folks who emailed me last weekend for support and encouragement, and also played a long Ajam Taqsim to help the cause! Anyway, here is a beautiful recording entitled Where the Moon Fell into
the Sea. Let's give him some nice feedback.
Take care,
Mike

Beautiful sounds, Al. That would sound lovely on the oud.

Wonderfully mystic piece. And a fitting title too. It gives the feel of being on the moon as it falls into the deeps of the sea.
