Hey brothers, I had an idea. 
I noticed there is a number of us in Northern California, I imagine around the Bay Area.
Why not have a get together at my house (it's nothing fancy but it has a back yard). My wife can put together some Greek Egyptian food, you can bring
your ouds and we can have a great time, meet each other and put faces to the names.
I can even try to invite a great local oud teacher and we could really get going (no belly dancers though pleeeeease !)
Southern Cal can do the same and other areas too.
If you're game, I can organize it. I'm in the East Bay.

Sorry to bug you all, but I believe there have to be more than 2 people in the SF Bay Area that may be interested in getting together (especially when
my wife's food is concerned)

Change the 'belly dancing' rule man and you get more then 2 peoples bombing your house (not only those from SF Bay Area, people from KL might join in

I'll mention this to Gary and Tom Chandler - I don't think they frequent this board if at all and both play oud and live in Oakland.
