Hi.
After years of extensive research on Middle-Eastern music I decided to take a large collection of maqamat / makamlar and write a short piece using
each one of them.
The main sources for my work were La Musique Arabe by D'Erlager, the turkish music section of Encyclopie de la musique by Rauf Yekta, scores at
neyzen.com, makamlar at eskd.org.tr, Arab Music Theory in the Modern Period by Scott Marcus, Tableau Comparatif des Intervales Musicaux by Alain
Daniélou, maqamworld.com and many others...
Then after taking the best of Arabic and Turkish music I wrote 100 pieces using 100 different maqamat / makamlar.
But please, be patient. It's hard to host a large collection of music today than I uploaded all the audio files to clyp.it and linked them at my site
on wix.com. So there's no provision to "play all" songs. You need to click on each one to open. Depending on the speed of your internet connection or
device the site may be a little slower to load, but it does.
After all, right from the start you'll see that my site is not made of canonical recordings. It's built based on many studies and is intended to be
not a canonical work but a unique work.
Thank you very much for the attention.Jono Oud N.Z - 11-26-2016 at 11:58 AM
Wow!
You have done incredible work on this website!
Amazing, this is obviously a completion of an extremely large achievement.
It is excellent that you are revitalizing and enriching this ancient music.

Unfortunately Wix sites don't work on any browser I have access to (except the one I use at work, where I can't play sound). I just get a blank page
and no content whatever.
If you find a better option please let us know.fernandoamartin - 11-27-2016 at 06:50 AM

Thank you for the feedback.
Wix grew so much that I hadn't thought it could not work anywhere. But all the audio files are uploaded at clyp.it.
I have just adjusted my profile in clyp.it for public to see if makes some difference. (I didnt' see it was private earlier.)
Even so if you can't hear the sounds in my wix site there's another option too.
Here's the link to my profile where you'll find all the 100 pieces in audio: https://clyp.it/user/3mfjq3wa
Thank you for the interest. Humam - 11-27-2016 at 10:19 AM
Great job, fascinating information. Having all these music tracks in one site is nice.
Good luck with your research and looking forward to seeing the site will evolve and grow in the future.
