Hello,
my Name is Gobi, i'm from germany - so sorry for my bad english..
I love the sound of the Oud since years, so i couldn't resist and bougt me one. I'm tinkering around with guitar since years, but playing the Oud is
different.... so i'm a little bit overstrained.
Can someone recommend videos for the beginner, to get a little start?

Best is to find a teacher in your area! Where in Germany are you located?
I once started with Marina Toshich's book "The Basics of Oud" but then really progressed in playing when I found a good teacher. There are also
teachers (on this forum) that teach through Skype.

Du kannst es auch bei http://www.oudforguitarists.com versuchen, dort gibt es einiges an Videos. Über die Qualität der dort neben dem Gratismaterial angebotenen Kurse
kann ich nichts sagen. Ich selbst versuche es anhand der schon oben genannten Quellen, warte aber auch dringend auf das zweibändige Unterrichtswerk
von Charbel Rouhana. Bisher ist es nur aus dem Libanon erhältlich und auch nur per Geldkarte, die ich nicht habe. Wenn du hier die Suchfunktion nach
Charbel Rouhana absuchst, findest du auch einen Thread dazu, in dem auch ein Link zu einem youtube Video steckt, wo jemand das Werk vorstellt. Auf
arabisch. Aber die Bilder sprechen für sich.
Ist nicht leicht ohne Lehrer, man braucht viel Disziplin und Zeit, um speziell die Anschlagstechnik zu beherrschen. Viel Erfolg wünsche ich dir auf
jeden Fall!
