Dear Raj,
Welcome to the forums. You will need to be more specific about your requirements and your budget.
As a person "interested to learn oud" it is unlikely you will be prepared to pay several thousands of dollars for a top of the range instrument. And
tone quality is a subjective thing. Every oud player has his or her own idea of what represents good tone quality.
So how about you say how much money you are prepared to pay and then some of the other forum members can tell you what is available at your budget
level and how good they think the tone quality will be for the ouds they recommend for you.

I think you can easily find a good oud within your budget .. Look at the previous adverts here, I'm sure there would be plenty of nice ones .. Ask to
see videos and more pictures if needed ..
I think you are in the right place!
Good luck!ilnokaly - 2-24-2017 at 08:24 AM

There is a nice Michael Moussa Arabic oud for sale in Mill Valley. I'm not sure of the price but I'm pretty sure it's less than $700.FastForward - 2-24-2017 at 07:07 PM
Not promoting Mike's Maurice oud shop, but I think you should check it out. You are in California as well so get in touch with Mike. The apprentice
ouds are about $500. I haven't bought anything from him but the store has a significant number of ouds and I'm pretty sure you'd find something good
that you like.
