Turkish score:

I have made some changes to the score to reflect Shawwa, Rashidi and Qasabji's interpretation of this piece.

Here is a recent Turkish interpretation of it:

Hi Jono,

May I share this on my "Turkish Music for Non-Turks" Facebook page?

Peace,
"Udi" John

Hey.

Yes that is fine:).

By the way, I have Just finished my doctorate on early Ottoman music (whew!)

Now planning to get it published as 2 books - one on 'Interpretation' including melodic and rhythmic modes etc., and a book of repertoire - scores.

I am now wanting to find a suitable place to begin my career in Ethnomusicology.

Have a good day.

Congratulations, Jono! If you are considering trying to work in the USA, the main academic ME music programs, as far as I know, are at the University of California, Santa Barbara; University of California, Los Angeles; University of Chicago; Cornell University; and William and Mary College. There may be others, and other Forum members may know a lot more about these programs than I do!
