I introduce myself

Hi, i'm Marco from Italy. Is nice to be here. I'm a guitar player, and since 1 month i have my first arab oud, a seven courses oud. Now i have changed the strings, but (first "problem") i have a six course pack. How i do for my seven course oud?
At the moment i tuning my oud with the Jamil Bashir tuning: C f a d g c f, and i have start to study the scale. But i'm searchin a good method for my seven course oud, Does anyone know an online method? Alternatively, even a book to buy.

These are the best quality strings and are rather expensive. But if you are just starting out, it's unlikely that it is really worth the extra expense at this point. The Pyramid 650/11 set plus the high f'f' course is a good combination. An alternative is to purchase the LaBella OUA 'Arabic' set (which comes with the high f'f') and purchase a low 6th course. In my opinion, this is a somewhat higher quality set than the 650/11 set, at least for your oud. LaBella OU80A LaBella low 6th
