Hello everyone,
I'm still new to oriental music and would like to take advantage of the resources available around me. Does anyone know any regularly-occurring oud /
oriental music masterclasses, workshops or festivals in Europe (including Western Turkey)?
If you don't know any regularly-occurring events, do you know of any cultural centers or music organizations that often host such events?
Thanks so much! I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Hey there! Last year we had the oud festival in amsterdam, which was really rather big for a first time festival focusing on an instrument that few
people know here. There were many concerts in Amsterdam and Utrecht, with people like Yurdal Tokcan, Kyriakis Kalaitzidis, Mehmet Polat, Omar Bashir,
Dhafer Youssef; I hope it was succesful enough for the organizers to continue doing this; as far as I know that was the plan

Thanks for the tips, Matthias! Yes, this is the kind of thing I'm looking for.
Hans, could you tell me the name of the festival that happened least year in A'dam and Utrecht? Kyriakos is actually my oud teacher, and on top of
that, I'm a Dutch citizen living Brussels, so this would be really easy for me to get to. Maybe they have an email notification list that I can sign
up for.

Just found Ross Daly's Labyrinth Musical Workshop in Crete, Greece. They've already announced their workshops for 2018:

Just thought I would post it for future readers who are more of the Greek/Turkish/Armenian persuasion.
