I'm looking to do some analysis on several asian lutes (saz, tanbur, tar, pipa, and oud) on tremolo speed in beats per second. I'm looking for
recordings in which you think the oud player has the fastest and longest tremolo on a single note. Can be turksh, arabic, persian, whatever as long as
its oud. Solo taqsim is preferred but oud with accompaniment is ok too.
so lets hear it, who's the fastest with a risha?

Usain Bolt? Michael Phelps? Lewis Hamilton? Who knows?

I'm going to guess Tawadros, who has emphasized fast tempi in some tunes.

Check Out Behdad Babaei. His sounds the fastest of all tremolo I've heard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9Rm60BiV-8
Yurdal Tokcan is pretty fast.

Yousif Abbas and Bashir Gharbi are the fastest I’ve ever seen :-)

Thanks, Navid and Alaaraj! Yousif Abbas I think may be the winnner here! Navid, that is some beautiful setar playing and very touching and graceful
tremolo. I was looking for oud but I'll add setar to the mix since that is so fast.
Anyone else?
