hi as most u guys know i am a just kind of learning and i need as much help as i can get so this is what i need help with everything lol no but really
is there any way some one can tell me like kurd or ajam or bayati in a way i can learn it like tell me what notes on what string stuff liek that .
bc i am trying to learn the notes on every strings but its very frustrating and i just do it for a while and then for get it so i dont bother its a
bad move but i really try so can some one help me.

Here's what I was told when I was a rank beginner by my teacher Issa Boulos. Listen to lots of taqasim, try to play short sections. Imitate as much as
possible. I attached a short taqasim in Bayat maqam, relatively simple. Go to http://www.maqamworld.com and look at the Bayat scale. Play it with the audio on your oud. (tune your oud to the same pitch) Then once you have
mastered the simple scale, start to play the first few notes of the taqasim. You could also start with a simple bayat doulab. Of course, following the
videos on the "Learn to Play" page will also be a great start. I wish these videos were around when I was beginning.

Here is the taqsim that Jameel attached. I cut it into 3 pieces and slowed it down for us slow pokes.
